Why OMNITECH?
We are bound to Aerospace AS9100 quality regulations. The AS9100:B Quality System – dubbed ISO on steroids by some – adds 80 additional requirements and 18 amplifications specific to quality and safety in the aerospace industry to the current ISO 9001:2008 Standard. These quality assurance processes are in effect at OMNITECH and benefit all our customers, aerospace or not.
One advantage is OMNITECH’s AS9100 Contract Review Process. Contract Review meetings are documented and recorded, and involve members of sales, purchasing, planning, CNC programming, shop operation and quality control. All aspects of a purchase order are scrutinized, and as information regarding material delivery, tooling, personnel, work center availability, QC requirements, and shipping is compiled, the resulting data, including the shipping date, is accurate and real.
We maintain security of customer related technical information following the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Technology that matters
We utilize up to date four-axes CNC Milling and Turning Centers, the largest being a HAAS VF-9 Milling Center with an 84”-X by 40”-Y by 30”-Z capacity.
We control all business and manufacturing operations through “Made2Manage” Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Our CNC programs are created in “FeatureCAM”, and we maintain control of our inspection equipment using “GAGEtrack” Calibration Management software.
We are a Lockheed Martin approved vendor for AWS D17.1 and MIL-STD-2219A aerospace welding applications. We specialize in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding processes for all steels, aluminums, titanium and Inconel. Following specifications established by AWS, ASME and other organizations, we have procedures in place to generate and approve Welder Qualifications (WQR), Welding Procedure Qualifications (WPQ) and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for our aerospace and other welding operations.
